Those looking to place a bet on Sunday's 3:30 pm ET game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and LA Clippers should know that Cleveland has covered in the last five games of this series using the current number of LA -3.5.

Recent Trends

The Cavs have beaten LA in four of their last five meetings.  Three of those were played in Cleveland, however.  The Clippers won but failed to cover a game in Los Angeles while losing outright in another home game.

We should note that the 3.5 line is on the money compared to the vast majority of games lately being overlays.

A lot of numbers are off as the regular season winds down.  Teams already in the Playoffs will begin limiting star player minutes while those who are eliminated may not care much.  We kind of saw that with Memphis hosting Philadelphia yesterday.

Be mindful that the Cavs are on the second day of a back-to-back having played the Lakers yesterday.  They're not traveling but the Clippers are better rested.

Cleveland hasn't covered in eight of their last ten games.

Player Prop Bets

Paul George is averaging 22.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals for the Clippers.  His scoring total for today's game is slightly above his average at 24.5.

Norman Powell is averaging 12.5 points over the past 10 games and comes in with a scoring total of 15.5 here.

Jarrett Allen is averaging 16.4 points and 10.6 rebounds for the Cavaliers. Sam Merrill is averaging 2.7 made 3-pointers over the last 10 games.

Darius Garland scored 26 points for Cleveland and Caris LeVert had 21 off the bench in a loss to the Lakers Saturday.

“I thought we did some really good things in spurts. We just couldn’t sustain it enough to come out with a win,” coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. “The turnovers kind of bit us in the butt. We also forced turnovers and didn't convert on them.”

In addition to the below over/under totals, a number of sportsbooks and pay per head platforms feature prop builders that allow for more significant payouts by betting an alternative total as well as insurance for betting a lower total at a higher price.
