This is a rematch of last year's Final with SDSU a +10.5 underdog versus UConn.  By comparison the Huskies were a -6.5 favorite in last year's Championship game.

The Aztecs would go on to beat the giant killers Yale 85-57.

“We’re heading on the road to play a road game against UConn in Boston and I’ve got a group that I think will be up for the task,” San Diego State coach Brian Dutcher said.

LeDee had 26 points and nine rebounds, Darrion Trammell added 18 points.

UConn, meanwhile, obliterated Northwestern.

Tristen Newton had 20 points and 10 assists, and Donovan Clingan finished with 14 points, 14 rebounds and eight blocks.

“Just obviously impressed with the performance. Just really attacked them in the paint," UConn coach Dan Hurley said. “Obviously, the injuries that they have sustained during the year changed the total complexion of that team.”
