Despite all the hoopla surrounding phenom Caitlin Clark, her Iowa Hawkeyes have the second shortest odds of winning the 2024 NCAA Women's College Basketball Championship with a payout of $650 for every $100 bet.
Betting on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Caitlin Clark
Clark continues to make history as she enters this year's March Madness tournament. Last week, she hit 1,000 points for the second season in her career, making her the first Division I women's player in college history to accomplish that feat.
That milestone came exactly one day after she broke an NCAA record set by Steph Curry. Clark knocked down a couple of 3-point shots to bring her single-season total to 164, which broke the record previously held by Curry and Liberty's Darius McGhee.
Prior to that Clark surpassed LSU legend Pete Maravich's all-time NCAA Division-I scoring record of 3,667 points.
It is unclear as to whether BetUS and other books will be offering player props for Women's Basketball during this Madness despite it often beating out Men's Basketball games.
Iowa will come into the tournament having defeated Nebraska to take the Big Ten Title. This marked their third straight tournament championship.
"We just found a way to win, and that speaks to the team that we have, the maturity we have on this group," said Clark, who had 34 points, 12 assists, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. "I just think this team is never out of a game. We have the offensive firepower to be in any game, and we all believed that, we all knew that and we never gave up."
