This year's Super Bowl being decided by exactly three points is a good prop bet in that the Chiefs-49ers game line had San Francisco hovering between a -2 and -1 point favorite. We get a number of 1.7 San Francisco. The line appears to be accurate for sure.
This is one of the more popular Super Bowl prop bets.
Heavy early action (80%) was on the Chiefs. The number had not moved to the 2.5 as a means of encouraging more money on KC. In fact, it had been bouncing between the 1 and 2. If the number were to move to 2.5, we'd think the oddsmakers had an opinion on San Francisco pulling this thing off.
Since 2008, four Super Bowls have been won by exactly 3 points. The last two have as well.
