Daniel Negreanu has remained uncannily silent in the wake of a scandal that's erupted at GG Poker in recent days.  Negreanu is that site's leading poker ambassador.

The popular online poker site GG Poker has come under fire after revelations emerged that a super user had been exposed on the site. On Christmas Day, TwoPlusTwo forum member “y2da,” posted a screen shot of MoneyTaker69 winning the GG Masters $400K guarantee for $47,586.80 alongside unrealistic game play statistics.

GG Poker claimed to have found and corrected a client vulnerability but that hasn't put the controversy to rest.

Players are now turning their ire towards Negreanu.

Poxer Community tweeted: "Why haven’t players like Daniel Negreanu released a statement about the GGPoker cheating scandal? He has a lot of opinions about other player’s political views, yet not a peep about the company he’s the face of. Maybe less money for ambassadors and more money for site security."

Indeed, Kid Poker has been posting regularly about the Israel-Hamas conflict.  That has led to more controversy.

To be fair, it is the holidays and Negreanu has not been as active as he normally is via Twitter.

In 2007, the online poker world was brought to its knees after Absolute Poker would admit a super user compromised its platform.  The site claimed it "was the victim of a breach of security in which a high-ranking consultant to the site devised a sophisticated scheme to manipulate internal systems and access third-party computers and accounts to view the hole cards of other customers during play and without their knowledge, resulting in unfair play."

It was later revealed that the cheating came from Absolute Poker insiders who had access to opponents' hole cards through a God Mode.
