The Pelicans host a struggling Brooklyn Nets team and come into this one as a -7 favorite. It's true that favorites in the 7 to 7.5 range have gone 32-12 in recent weeks. It's a tough call with Brooklyn in desperation mode of late, failing to cover in all but one of their last ten games.
Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram have helped propel the Pelicans to ninth in the NBA in field goal percentage.
We get a number that's right on the money and our fear is that the Nets do just enough to cover the spread.

More importantly perhaps, Houston is coming off a win last night at home against Dallas where they scored 122 points. Now the fly to New Orleans and must play a second straight night. New Orleans last played two nights ago.

I also predict the Pels will get to the line often, as they rank fifth in Free Throw Rate and the Rockets rank dead last in Opponent Free Throw Rate."
