Syracuse vs. Virginia Tech Betting Preview, Prop Bets

The Syracuse Orange take on the Virginia Tech Hokies Thursday evening.  Both teams enjoy a nice following, however, the Orange and Hokies are both sitting around the .500 market coming into this game.  Syracuse is 4-3 Straight Up and 3-3 Against The Spread while Virginia Tech is 3-4 SU and 4-3 ATS.  BetUS will take bets on this game from both New York State and the Commonwealth of Virginia

Line Movement and Action

Syracuse Orange @ Virginia Tech Hokies:  This one could get hot.  The line opened at Virginia Tech -3 at some books.  Bookmaker had this one at -2.5 for a number of hours on Tuesday.  Circa had the 2.5 for just a few minutes.   Sagarin is giving us a number of 0.74, indicating a 2-point overlay.  The 2.5/3 with an overlay bodes quite well for the underdog.  Action is lopsided 88% to 90% on Syracuse and it would make more sense for the books to move the number back to 2.5 as the day progresses on Thursday.

BetUS host Gary Segars, and expert handicappers Kyle Hunter and Parker Fleming preview the College Football Week 9 game between Syracuse and Virginia Tech. They'll go over the best value college football odds available and betting trends and share their College Football expert predictions, CFB picks, and best bets.

Both teams are coming off a bye.

"(Syracuse is) 1-5 Against The Spread their last six on the road," remarked Segars. "They are 1-6 in their last seven Against The Spread as a road dog.

Since switching to Kyron Drones Virginia Tech has looked like a completely different team," Segars also noted.

Syracuse started off hot, winning their first four.  They've lost their last three.
