Can I Bet With Bovada From West Virginia?

Bovada is not regulated by the state of West Virginia.  But the popular site does take bets from those in the state as does our personal favorite, BetUS.  And what differentiates BetUS from many other online sportsbooks is its longevity.  The company is now celebrating its 30th year in business with 30 risk free bets

Virginia does have a handful of regulated sportsbooks that withdraw a significant tax on winnings (24% + 6.5% if no social security number provided). The state was among the first to begin licensing sports betting companies after the US Supreme Court overturned prohibition on the activity in 2018 but initially limited the number.  There are now nine licensed but glitchy geolocation tracking software has long been a problem.

Another advantage of joining a site licensed internationally like Bovada and BetUS is that one can open an account at 18 compared to 21 with the state regulated websites.  Also BetUS does not ask for your social security number.  They also offer endless game and player prop bets along with a live dealer online casino.

2023 was looking like a good year in West Virginia as the Mountaineers were playing pretty good football early on.  West Virginia owned a 4-1 record both Straight Up and Against The Spread coming into Week 7. Wins came against the likes of last year's College Football Playoff Championship loser TCU and Texas Tech.  They can be forgiven for losing to Penn State.

The Mountaineers received 26 votes after Week 6 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, an increase from five votes a week ago.  They were ranking 32nd in the nation.

One more win and West Virginia will make their OVER for 2023 with the total wins set at 4.5.
