MGM is sort of suggesting not much to see here, but don't tell that to guests staying at any of their properties.  The gambling firm is currently under a massive cyber attack.

Jacob Orth provided a look from within via his Twitter account, noting that the ATMs, arcades and even the roller coaster at New York New York Casino have been affected.  Folks can still play the slots but any money placed in the machine and wanted to cash out your winnings, a slot attendant had to perform this function manually.

For its part, MGM released a statement Monday night claiming much was back to normal.

We're not exactly sure what their idea of "normal" is.  One person posted the registration check-in line at the Bellagio shortly after 4 pm (below).  Oh this is ugly.

Key system room entries were suspended at their properties across the US.

“Dining, entertainment and gaming are currently operational, and continue to deliver the experiences for which MGM is known," the company said Monday night despite customer postings indicating otherwise. "Our guests remain able to access their hotel rooms and our Front Desk staff is ready to assist our guests as needed.”

Officials say MGM is working with law enforcement to protect its systems. Specific systems were shut down to protect the company’s data, officials say.

“Promptly after detecting the issue, we quickly began an investigation with assistance from leading external cybersecurity experts,” a statement from MGM Resorts International said Monday.

At least one gambler complained of fraudulent charges appearing on his card he only uses at the Borgata.  Those charges originated from Hong Kong.  It is unclear if this has anything to do with this week's breach.

"Checked out today. No access to computer systems, no idea what my bill was. No access to comps, resort dollars, or anything else. Can't wait to hear from @MGMResortsIntl @Bellagio on how they're going to do right by folks."
