DraftKings it seems will do anything to push a parlay.  They hit a low bar Monday in promoting their tasteless 9/11-themed "never forget" parlay bet.

The website encouraged customers to "patriotically" risk losing money on three New York teams that included the likes of the dreadful Mets and imploding Yankees.  And let's not get us started on those New York Giants.  The specific bet in question did not encourage betting on the Giants but rather the Jets.

The company later issued an apology.

“We sincerely apologize for the featured parlay that was shared briefly in commemoration of 9/11,” a spokesperson wrote. “We respect the significance of this day for our country and especially for the families of those who were directly affected.”

But some bonehead approved it!  DraftKings doesn't just release stuff like this without a thorough review.

In its apology, DraftKings did not specify say what, exactly, it was sorry for.

The Winter Meeting on Twitter told DraftKings they could basically take their apology and shove it up their ass.

"A Big Fuc@ You to @DraftKings, @DKSportsbook, @DKNetwork Fot putting out a Parlay of all New York Team's to “recognize 911” again F You you ever heard of “stolen valor” look it up you greedy bastards how dare you steal the valor of those of my brother Firefighters who died. For $"

A2Z Sports wrote: "Draft Kings marketing team took a gamble and it didn’t pay off. What a braindead and out of touch promotion. Surprised they didn’t odds boost it to +911 just to fully commit to the insensitivity."

Clay Travis wrote: "Draft Kings really had a 'Never Forget' 9/11 parlay today. Fire your entire marketing team, guys. They’re imbeciles."
