Phil Hellmuth Wins Record 17th WSOP Bracelet (July 4, 2023)

Phil Hellmuth is the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time), at least when it comes to poker.

Lucky No. 17 came courtesy of Event #72 was the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty.  He cashed out in ten events this WSOP.

"I'm feeling pretty good," Hellmuth said following the win.  "I must have a smile just fixed to my face.  I mean, like, I feel like I've been battling through, it felt like I was battling and battling and battling."

Nobody comes close to Hellmuth's number of bracelet wins.

Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan, and the late Doyle Brunson each have 10.

Hellmuth believes it was meant to be after busting out early at another event.

"I cashed in @WSOP $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha 8/B, was hoping for better than 38th place, but it is my 11th cash. Lost a rough last hand, but on the positivity side; I did just win my 17th Bracelet the other day! Now: 2 full days off, then Main Event Thursday #POSITIVITY"
