(June 23, 2023) - The Mariners are an okay bet though this weekend they are facing off against a very good Baltimore Orioles team.  The team sits at the .500 mark and they are winning half of their games of late.  Currently Seattle has the best bullpen and should at least be considered when it comes to the UNDER based on who the starters are and the opposing team.

Bryce Miller vs. the Orioles

(June 23, 2023) - These are some of your anticipated starting pitching matchups.

Bryce Miller (5-3, 3.68 ERA) is slated to pitch against the Orioles on Saturday.  Miller was terrific in Sunday's victory over the White Sox, allowing just one run on four hits over his seven innings of work.  He had a victory over the Marlins prior to that.  These two performances followed two duds (both losses).  When he's pitching well, he can get you through the 7th and then that top Mariners bullpen can finish the job.

Baltimore starts Dean Kremer (8-3, 4.56 ERA).  He's also got two wins under his belt in his last starts. The Mariners career statistics vs. Dean Kremer are just .209 (9 for 43 hits).  He's allowed just two home runs. Teoscar Hernandez is playing well this season and he's 4 for 12 against Kremer.

We would tend to avoid the UNDER when both starters come in having won their last two and, as such, we'd stay clear of the total in this one.

Mariners Best Bullpen

(June 22, 2023) - Seattle scored ten runs while permitting just two by the New York Yankees in Thursday night's game.  Meanwhile, the Giants managed to be shut out 10-0 by the San Diego Padres in an ugly loss that sent their ERA spiraling.

The Red Sox, leading with the best bullpen to start the week, maintained the No. 2 position.

Seattle owned a 3.03 ERA, Boston a 3.25 and Philadelphia was a decimal point behind at 3.26.

Logan Gilbert (4-4, 4.31 ERA) was slated to start for Seattle on Friday.

He pitched decently in a no-decision against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work.  He gave up seven runs (six earned) on eight hits in three-plus innings of work prior to that against the Angels.

Gilbert is due for a win here.  He has nominal work versus the Baltimore Orioles.

Kyle Gibson is 8-4 with a 3.94 ERA.  J.P.Crawford is 6 of 12 against him.

Gibson suffered a loss his last outing against the Cubs.
