Entain Reports Strong Numbers, Spokesperson Jamie Foxx Remains Hospitalized

Entain 2023 Q1 results were released Monday.

BetMGM continues to grow strongly with Q1 NGR of approximately $470m, up +76%, delivering in line with guidance of $1.8-$2.0bn for 2023...remains on track to deliver positive EBITDA in the second half of 2023.

The company is yet to realize a profit.  They anticipate doing so this year.

Entain says it was helped by acquisitions and a rise in the number of the British gambling firm's active customers.

Tighter regulation for online gambling in Britain and the Netherlands hasn't helped matters.

The company said active customers rose 19% from a year earlier.

BetMGM Spokesperson Jamie Foxx Remains Hospitalized

Doctors continue running tests on Oscar winner Jamie Foxx in an effort to determine the cause of his health scare on April 11, first confirmed by his 29-year-old daughter.

"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," Corinne wrote in a statement written on behalf of the Foxx family.

"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers," the statement read. "The family asks for privacy during this time."

The 55-year-old actor remains at a Georgia medical facility.  He had been filming his upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action in the state at the time.

Foxx's condition was said to be improving.
