Poll Favors Lindell to Take RNC Chair

A shock poll released Thursday by Rasmussen Reports has 30 percent of likely Republican voters backing MyPillow founder Mike Lindell to be the next RNC chair, compared to the 15 percent who backed the current chair Ronna McDaniel and 20 percent who picked Harmeet Dhillon, an attorney for former President Donald Trump.

Lindell, a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, once claimed that he had enough evidence to put 300 million Americans in jail for election fraud despite there being just 240 million people eligible to vote in the 2020 presidential election.  Just days before Joe Biden assumed the Presidency, Lindell was photographed entering the West Wing of the White House carrying notes which seemed to advocate the imposition of martial law.

Lindell has admitted to being a recovering crack and gambling addict. Lindell stated that he achieved sobriety through prayer in 2009.

McDaniel remains the favorite to win at -300 odds but Lindell comes in at 5-1, ahead of Dhillon at 7-1 odds.

Republican National Committee members will elect a new chair in Dana Point, California on Friday.

McDaniel is running for a fourth term but the Republicans underperformance in the 2022 Midterms will loom large.

McDaniel still retains support from well over half of the 168 voting RNC members.  She needs just over half to clinch reelection.

"I think Ronna is likely to win but probably by a smaller margin than she may expect. There is pretty profound desire for change from the committee. But there's also dissatisfaction with the way Harmeet has run her campaign," one undecided committee member told local ABC 13. "And I think the important thing is, whoever wins, the party has got to come together -- and that starts with Ronna and Harmeet."

McDaniel also claims she can stop Trump from forming a third party.

"The Chairwoman has a close relationship with the former president and many leaders throughout the party," Emma Vaughn, a spokeswoman for McDaniel's reelection campaign, told the Washington Examiner. "Her objective will be to bring everybody together behind the eventual nominee to put a Republican in the White House, and she is the best suited to do it."
