Paul vs. Fury Odds on the Move

They were supposed to go toe-to-toe last August, but now it sounds like Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will finally fight on February 25 (2023).

“Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury is a done deal for Feb. 25, per sources,” tweeted sports journalist and boxing specialist Ariel Helwani on Tuesday.

In June, when this match was first announced (and later canceled), SportsBetting.ag opened the odds around a pick ‘em. Paul quickly became the favorite, and the same story has transpired this go round.

Tuesday morning (January 17), SportsBetting.ag set Paul as a -130 favorite with Fury coming back as a -110 underdog. But bettors pounced on the celeb turned pro boxer, moving Paul to a much larger favorite.

Paul is 6-0 with wins over the likes of Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley.  Fury is 8-0 split between knockouts and decisions.

Whether the fight actually takes place or not is anyone's guess.  Two previously announced matchups between Paul and Fury were eventually cancelled.

Fury withdrew from a scheduled bout with Paul in December 2021 because of an illness.

The pair rebooked for 2022 but this time Fury ran into visa issues for which Paul called Fury out.

“Fury’s received a termination notice. MVP did everything it could 2 help him & team,” Paul tweeted, according to Sports Illustrated’s The Spun. “He wasn’t interested & he literally went into hiding. 2nd time in a row he has pulled out. 2nd time in a row I’m going to step up & take on a new opponent on short notice.”

The location of the fight has yet to be determined.  Initial reports suggest Saudi Arabia.
