Russell Wilson Favored for Comeback POY in 2023

SportsBetting.ag on Monday January 2, 2023 released odds on Russell Wilson receiving next season's Comeback Player of the Year award.  We'd be remiss in pointing out that the oddsmakers got it wrong by instilling the Broncos as one of the early favorites to win a championship in 2022-23.

Still, the fine folks at SportsBetting.ag do feel somewhat confident about his chances.  The payout should he Wilson be named Comeback Player of the Year would be $40 for every $10 bet, $400 for every $100 bet.

Wilson and the Broncos showed a little bit of life in Week 17, basically when it no longer matters.  The former Seahawks starting quarterback was expected to be what Drew Brees turned into for the New Orleans Saints after leaving the Chargers.

Trey Lance, Kyler Murray and Javonte Williams round out the Top 5. There is a total of 23 players on the list.  Six are in the single digits and three are within two points of Wilson.

Additionally, playoff odds for the four teams who still have a chance to qualify for the postseason are available. The Dolphins are a tossup, but the other three teams' probabilities are bleak.

Will the Lions make the playoffs?

Yes +750

No -1500

(Odds imply a 93.8% probability the Lions won't make it)

Will the Dolphins make the playoffs?

Yes -105

No -125

(Odds imply basically a 50-50 probability the Dolphins make it)

Will the Steelers make the playoffs?

Yes +425

No -650

(Odds imply an 86.7% probability the Steelers won't make it)

Will the Seahawks make the playoffs?

Yes +300

No -400

(Odds imply an 80% probability the Seahawks won't make it)
