CFP Infomap Shows Which Team Each State is Betting On

(Panama City) - Does Vegas know something?

If the old adage holds true, the Wolverines will be crowned as this year's College Football Playoff national champions.

An infomap created by sportsbook BetOnline.ag displays which of the four CFP qualifiers each state is backing to take home the title.

To be precise, the results show which team "the majority" of BetOnline's customers from each U.S. state are betting on.

It was a tight race, but Michigan earned 20 total states, including Nevada. Georgia is a close second with 19 states siding with the Bulldogs.

Michigan – Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin

Georgia – Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Wyoming

Ohio State – Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, West Virginia

TCU – Texas, Montana

Currently at BetOnline, Georgia has -140 CFP Championship odds. Michigan is listed at +300, Ohio State +360 and TCU a longshot with +1600 odds.
