Jake Paul is a bona fide boxing draw, something our good friend Dave Mason of BetOnline could have told us well over a year ago. He doesn't need to see the final viewership numbers from Saturday night's fight between Paul and Anderson Silva to come up with that conclusion. This one was expected to set revenue records.
The live Showtime PPV broadcast cost $59.99 and the total amount brought in was yet to be made public as of Monday morning.
Mason believed this fight would be among the most wagered on in his company's nearly 25 years in existence.
"Action intense for Jake Paul -245 v Anderson Silva +205."
In fact, the fight was drawing more action than any of the 12 pm ET college football games.....before 12 pm.
"Majority of action yet to come in and already more cash on it than any 12:00 CFB spread."
Even before the fight had ended with a Paul's win over Silva, BetOnline was already offering odds on Jake Paul's next opponent.
Paul called out Nate Diaz and Canelo Alvarez following his victory last night, and now there are odds for who both Paul and Alvarez will fight next.

Showtime Sports President Stephen Espinoza explained the realization that Paul is now attracting fans well beyond his YouTube influencer channels.
“What we’ve seen very clearly after just a couple of events is that these Jake Paul fans are sticking around and becoming boxing fans,” Espinoza said. “Our usual boxing audience is a small fraction of the audience that tunes into Jake. We’re getting in front of people who don’t follow boxing, haven’t shown an interest in boxing whatsoever. That’s great for this sport.”
