PrizePicks is leaving the great state of Florida after the the Florida Gaming Control Commission issued a cease and desist order against the company.  It's not quite sports betting, but it's close, too close according to regulators.  If you are looking for a full suite of sports betting including live in-play, props, futures, parlays and a generous welcome bonus up to $2500, BetUS is available here.  Keep in mind that PrizePicks will not be offering traditional Super Bowl prop bets (see BetUS for those).  DON'T FORGET: BetUS offers prop builders, live in-play betting and even a LIVE DEALER online casino.  A full race book is available with a single account.

PrizePicks From Florida

PrizePicks is described as the "new age of daily fantasy sports".  It is the simplest, fastest, & most exciting daily fantasy sports game, but the platform is limited in terms of sports wagering aspects. You choose 2-5 players and determine whether they go over or under a projected total.

One benefit of PrizePicks versus BetUS is that PrizePicks is available via an app.

PrizePicks is a form of sports betting. Users can either place bets on individual player stats going over or under (points, strkeouts, etc...) or you can simply bet on player fantasy scores.

The different betting options include "Flex Play" or "Power Play".

Flex Play works as follows:

2 Player Predictions: Pays 0.5x for one correct prediction and 2x for two

3 Player Predictions: Pays 1.25x for two correct predictions and 2.25x for three

4 Player Predictions: Pays 1.5x for three correct, 5x for four

5 Player Predictions: Pays 0.4x for three correct predictions, 2x for four and 10x for five

Power Play is the more risky of the two.

2 Player Predictions: Pays 3x for two correct predictions

3 Player Predictions: Pays 5x for three correct predictions

4 Player Predictions: Pays 10x for four correction predictions

2024 NCAA Men's College Basketball Season

As of February 1, 2024, the Canes would pay out $15,000 for every $100 bet if they were to somehow win the 2024 NCAA Men's College Basketball Championship.

2023 NCAA Men's College Basketball Success

The Miami Hurricanes were No. 14 in this year's NCAA men's tournament, first holding off Wake Forest to reach ACC semifinals and sealed its spot in the NCAA Tournament.

ACC player of the year Isaiah Wong had 17 points and five assists and Norchad Omier had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Miami — the top seed for the first time since 2013 when the Hurricanes won the ACC title game.

You will find every prop bet imaginable for Wong and Omier at BetUS.

Miami opened the tournament as a -2.5 favorite against Drake.  They beat the Bulldogs 63-56 to advance to the next round.

Nijel Pack scored 21 points, Norchad Omier added 12 points and 14 rebounds for Canes and Wooga Poplar added 15 points.

Coming into this game, the Hurricanes were 15-5 Against The Spread in their last 20 games following a ATS loss and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games following a straight up loss.

Miami advanced to the Sweet 16 to face off against the March Madness favorite Houston.  The Canes were a +7.5 dog in this one.

They faced off against UConn in the Final Four as a +5.5 dog but ultimately came up short.

Tiny state school FAU also played in the Final Four, facing off against SDSU, and just narrowly advanced to the Championship game.  SDSU hit a clutch basket with less than a second remaining to win by one point.

Next up, the Canes football team will look to make some noise in 2023.

Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke is eager to prove himself under new offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson after a disappointing performance last season.  Most of that regression was likely a result of injuries.

87 total touchdown passes came as a result of Dawson's three seasons as the Cougars quarterback coach.  And last season Clayton Tune passed for an AAC-record 40 touchdowns.

On Friday April 14, during spring practice, Van Dyke finished the day completing 22-of-29 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns.  He had 9.9 yards per attempt. Ten yards per game represents an explosive passing attack.
