Week 6 @ NC State Wolfpack
A dangerous game for an FSU team that owned a 4-1 record Straight Up and 3-2 ATS. They will face an NC State team that is 4-1 SU and 2-3 ATS.
Number 14-ranked NC State comes into this game as a -3.5 home favorite with the line having opened at -3. A look at the power ratings we get a number of Wolfpack 1.79, which tells us there is a 1 to 1.5 overlay on this game.
Here is a really good comparable game: Texas A&M +3 to +3.5 vs. Miss State where by the home team favorite Bulldogs covered and won by 20. It, too, featured a small overlay of 2 points.
NC State has won the last two games in this series and four of the last five.
We like the Wolfpack -3 here but more so, we like NC State on the moneyline. Since 2017, FSU has only won outright TWICE out of 19 times against ranked opponents and three times out of 17 as an away underdog.

Week 5 vs. Wake Forest Demon Deacons
The Noles have already been tested on two occasions this season, once in Week 2 versus LSU and again on September 16 versus Louisville.
They come into Week 5 battle tested as -6.5 favorites against a solid Wake Forest team that has gone 3-1 so far this season. Both teams own 3-1 records Against The Spread.
The line has gone from -6 FSU to -7 without crossing the 7. It was dropping back down to -6 as of Friday night.
The power ratings provide us with a number of 5.21. There is a 1 to 2 point overlay.
There is a comparable game with Middle Tennessee +6.5 from +7 vs. James Madison with the home favorite covering by quite a bit. The line went from being On the Money to a 2.5 Underlay, somewhat similar to this one.
Wake Forest has won the last two but be mindful that the Seminoles were a +4.5 road dog last year and Wake won the prior game in 2019 at home as well. This one will be played in Florida State.

The Seminoles won this game by a single point but were +4 underdogs, up from +3.5.
Shyheim Brown’s deflection of Damian Ramos’ kick sent the ball into the crossbar and gave Florida State a 24-23 victory over LSU.
“Obviously, there at the end, you know, we had some things that happened that we just can’t have,” said Noles head coach Mike Norvell, who has Florida State off to its first 2-0 start since 2016. “But the one thing that happened on the last play is what we absolutely need.”
