The New York Giants losing one of their top receivers, Sterling Shepard, hasn't had much of an impact on the Week 4 line.  Even after a loss to the Dallas Cowboys Monday night, New York opened as a -2.5 favorite versus Chicago and that line has now moved to -3.5.

Shepard suffered a torn ACL in his left knee, a noncontact injury that typically sidelines players for between eight to nine months.

His impact will be felt for a team that started the season 2-0. Shepard leads the Giants with 154 receiving yards through three games. He's also played the most snaps (157) of all the team's receivers.

The injury happened during the final offensive play Monday night, when Shepard was seen jogging near the right sideline. He limped onto the cart.

Shepard has suffered prior injuries.  He tore his left Achilles last December and was only cleared to play a few weeks ago.

This will be the fourth straight year he's missed at least four games because of injuries.

“He’s a tremendous person,” Giants head coach Brian Daboll said of Shepard on Tuesday. “He worked so diligently to get back. I feel terrible for him.”
