2) The line movements in college football are much more volatile than the NFL.

a. Buffalo at Coastal Carolina went from CC -18.5 to -14. A 4.5-point swing.
b. Oklahoma at Nebraska went from Oklahoma -14.5 to -10.5. A four-point swing. Guessing mostly due to Scott Frost firing.
c. Michigan State at Washington opened as a pick’em. UW is now a 3.5-point favorite.
4) The three most wagered favorites are all road favorites:
a. Florida State -3 vs Louisville: 82% are on FSU
b. Georgia -24 vs South Carolina: 75% are on Georgia
c. Notre Dame -11.5 vs California: 72% are on Notre Dame
5) The three most wagered underdogs are all road dogs:
a. Western Kentucky +6.5 at Indiana: 77% are on Western Kentucky
b. Michigan State +3.5 at Washington: 74% are on Michigan State
c. BYU +3.5 at Oregon: 64% are on BYU
6) The two most wagered overs are:
a. Kansas at Houston: 81% are on over 58 points
b. Fresno State at USC: 77% are on over 73.5 points
7) The two most wagered unders are:
a. Oklahoma at Nebraska: 83% are on under 66 points
b. Nevada at Iowa: 79% are on under 40 points
Most Overrated
With three weeks of college football in the books, who does America think is the most overrated team in the country?
The website BetOnline.ag recently completed a fresh social media study that tracked "overrated" tweets for every FBS team in each state.
For example, "Notre Dame is overrated" or tweets about Notre Dam that contain a hashtag such as #overrated were included. The state-by-state query was run using geotagged Twitter data through a trends software program.
The sampling ran from the first game of the season through today, and in total more than 300,000 tweets were analyzed.
The most overrated team, at least according to college football fans on Twitter, is drumroll…Utah with 14 states won!
But it was a close contest as Notre Dame had 13 states and Alabama 12 states.
Former Florida State quarterback Danny Kanell recently said that the Texas Longhorns (tied for fourth on the below map) are the most overrated team in the country.
"I don't want to pile on Notre Dame along with the haters out there,” Kanell told BetOnline.ag. “Preseason rankings are always a crapshoot and over the last five seasons Notre Dame has never finished a season outside of the Top 11 and have two playoff appearances. The Texas Longhorns, on the other hand, come in almost every season with a new coach, a hyped recruiting class and massive expectations and yet have not had more than eight wins since 2018.”
