Putin Exit Odds Shorten With Ukraine Advances

In light of the dramatic events in Ukraine, the odds of Vladimir Putin leaving post before the end of 2023 have shortened considerably at BetOnline.

Ukraine announced it has pushed Russian forces all the way to the country’s northeastern border in places while liberating a number of towns as well as the country's second biggest city of Kharkiv.

A spokesman for Ukrainian military intelligence said Russian troops were surrendering en masse.  Ukraine is running out of space to hold the captured Russians.

Just from what’s visually confirmed, the Ukrainians have taken enough armor off the Russians – tanks, combat vehicles and artillery – to be able to outfit multiple brigades,” Joel Rayburn, a retired Army colonel and the former U.S. special envoy to Syria, told Yahoo News. “So where Russia’s inventory ledger bleeds red, the Ukrainians’ got a whole lot blacker.”

The Russian Defense Ministry acknowledged the setback.

With the Russian army retreating, state media is now airing direct criticism on daily news shows on which, just one week ago, that would have been unthinkable.

Putin Exit Odds

2022: +250

2023: +175

2024: +550

2025: +1000

2026 or later: +225
