Damning Commercial Could Hurt Herschel Walker's Odds

Raphael Warnock (D) still has some value in the Georgia Senate race at -180 considering the further bad news for his opponent, Herschel Walker (R).

A damning new campaign ad features Walker’s ex-wife accusing the former NFL player of threatening her at gunpoint.

A narrator says, “Do you think you know Herschel Walker? Well, think again.”

“Listen to what his ex-wife had to say about him,” the narrator added.

Cindy DeAngelis Grossman then goes onto detail her allegations against Walker, who has current odds of +140 to win the Georgia Senator's race.

“His eyes would become very evil. The guns and knives. I got into a few choking things with him,” she said. “The first time he held the gun to my head, he held the gun to my temple and said he was gonna blow my brains out.”

Back in December, Walker addressed Grossman's domestic abuse allegations.

“I’m always accountable to whatever I’ve ever done,” he told Axios at the time. “And that’s what I tell people: I’m accountable to it.”

He told the outlet he’s “better now than 99% of the people in America. … Just like I broke my leg; I put the cast on. It healed.”

Republicans Favored to Win the Wisconsin Senate

Republican Ron Johnson is considered vulnerable due to his low approval ratings, but he has never really been popular and always seems to find a way to win.  Oddsmakers at BetOnline have Johnson winning at -210 in November.

Some recent surveys put his approval at 35% back in April.  A March Marquette University Law School poll found him at just 33% support.

The Wisconsin Democratic primary for Senate was supposed to be held today (August 9) and was among the most eagerly anticipated races.

Instead, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes is now running unopposed as the other three candidates dropped out.  She was found to be polling well ahead of Milwaukee Bucks executive Alex Lasry before he decided to drop out and endorse Barnes.

Barnes would pay $16 for every $10 bet with a win in the general election, will now run against Johnson in the November race.
