Gambling Sites to Grade Winning Lake Bets

For someone who was favored by -800, it sure to a long time to confirm the win.

That's exactly what has occurred as it took greater than 48 hours for Arizona GOP Governor candidate and former news anchor Kari Lake to officially be declared the winner of her primary.  Gambling websites were expected to begin grading Lake bets as winners on Friday, if they hadn't already.

That race proved to be much closer than was originally anticipated.

Lawyer and businesswoman Karrin Taylor Robson took an early lead overnight Tuesday thanks mainly to early mail-in voting.

“Arizonans who have been forgotten by the establishment just delivered a political earthquake,” Lake said in a statement after the race was called.

More like a thud though and Lake goes on to face Democrat Katie Hobbs in the general election where she is expected to be a 4-1 or greater dog at most sites early on.

“This race for governor isn’t about Democrats or Republicans. It’s a choice between sanity and chaos,” Hobbs, Arizona's current Secretary of State said Thursday night in a statement on Lake’s victory.  Hobbs won her Democratic primary by a landslide.

Lake is supported by former President Donald Trump and believes current President Joe Biden did not win the 2020 election.

She regularly brings up voter fraud and said she has no plans to stop talking about the subject, even as a means to broaden her appeal beyond the Trump-friendly, often referred to as MAGA, base.
