Desahun Watson Suspension Prop and Futures Impact Now Determined

News of Deshaun Watson's six-game suspension sent shockwaves through the NFL Monday, though most anticipated some sort of punishment was coming Watson's way.

The NFL star recently settled 23 of 24 lawsuits filed by women alleging sexual harassment and assault during massage therapy appointments in 2020 and 2021.

For the sportsbooks, the news sent Cleveland Browns futures odds and prop offerings into disarray Monday afternoon.

The Browns probably feel like they dodged a bullet as there was some discussion he could sit out the full season.

However, the NFL, which had pushed for a 12-month to one-year suspension itself, has the ability to appeal the decision by disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson.

BetOnline believes the league will exercise its right to appeal, and ultimately, Watson will end up receiving a much longer suspension for Watson.

Will Deshaun Watson’s six-game suspension be increased?

Yes      -140

No        +100

Watson's suspension had a positive impact on the Browns futures odds. Here's that breakdown:

Super Bowl Odds: 33-1 to 18-1

AFC: 18-1 to 10-1

AFC North: 4-1 to 2-1 (Baltimore still favored at +175)
