Oddsmakers have the SMU Mustangs winning 7 regular season games in 2022.
The schedule is favorable with TCU and AAC opponents Houston and Cincinnati at home, and an 8-win season is not out of reach.
In his first season at SMU, Tanner Mordecai led the AAC with 3,628 yards passing, and his 39 touchdowns ranked fifth nationally.
