The Ragin' Cajuns are expected to have a banner year in 2022 with the OVER 8.5 regular season wins favored at -125.
A trip to Tallahassee could present a problem as Louisiana would just barely have been a -3 point road favorite versus an FSU team last year that wasn't very good and is set to improve in 2022. A game at Marshall could also present a problem.

- Billy Napier is no longer there as head coach after moving on to Florida.
- Louisiana, in addition to losing Napier, will be without QB Levi Lewis, and without a bunch of other top players from last season.
- Michael Desormeaux, a former Ragin’ Cajun star quarterback and part of the program’s coaching staff for the last six years, takes over for Napier.
- For all the great things the offense did last year, it was still 64th in the nation overall.
