Donovan Mitchell Trade Talks Stall: Latest Odds

Donavan Mitchell had been an EVEN odds favorite to be traded to the New York Knicks, but talks between those two teams appear to have stalled.

The Knicks recently backed away from a trade offer to acquire the All-Star guard.

Jazz general manager Justin Zanik had said during a press conference early in the month that Mitchell was not untouchable in trade discussions.

"Change is inevitable in the NBA," Zanik said. "I'm not trying to be cryptic or anything else, but Donovan is on our roster and he's a very, very important part of what we're trying to do. Things evolve in the NBA, so I couldn't sit here and say anybody is [untouchable]. We're trying to build a championship team, but there's no intent [to trade Mitchell], at all."

The Miami Heat had the next shortest odds to land Mitchell, though it is the Knicks with their eight first round picks available to deal that seems to be the most enticing option.
