Last week, Georgia GOP Senate hopeful offered his take on evolution. The former football star Herschel Walker said this: Walker wondered aloud why, if evolution is real, “Why are there still apes?”
To be fair, this was back in March, a life time ago. That and the comments about China's air still haunt him nonetheless.
There might be some good news for Walker following one poll that had him down 10 points from Democratic opponent Raphael Warnock.
A survey by Data for Progress conducted between July 1 and July 6, exclusively shared with The Daily Beast, shows Walker narrowly leading Warnock by 49 percent to 47 percent. This was last week and this was a poll that might not pass the smell test for some.

Lindsay Graham Jail Futures
To date, oddsmakers have yet to offer betting on whether the South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham will serve any time in prison after a subpoena for his testimony was issued by a Georgia grand jury investigating possible election meddling in the 2020 presidential election by then-President Donald Trump.
Graham pushed for online gambling to be banned over a period of several years, latching onto the late GOP megadonor Sheldon Adelson's campaign to do so.
He is set to fight the recent subpoena.
Graham’s lawyers argued in a legal filing that he has “sovereign immunity” from state court procedures pertaining to his job as a senator.
The South Carolina Senator is a pivotal figure in the Georgia investigation into election meddling.
Graham placed at least two phone calls to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in the weeks following the 2020 election seeking reexamination of absentee ballots to "explore the possibility of a more favorable outcome for former President Donald Trump."
