Mercer and Polk Talk Alleged Cheating By Ali Imsirovic

In his latest popular YouTube video show, poker pro Doug Polk sits down with fellow pro Greg Merson to discuss yet another cheating scandal.   This one involves Ali Imsirovic.

Alex Foxen lodged the allegations against Imsirovic, who has amassed over $11.3 million in live tournament winnings as of 2021 and likely much more online as the 27-year-old is known to be playing on various websites for more than a decade.

Foxen detailed about one specific hand in the recent $250,000-entry Super High Roller Series Europe Main Event in Cyprus, then added details of Imsirovic's alleged use of RTAs in online games.

"I have witnessed numerous chip dumps to horses, and many suspicious changes in play from people known to be his horses when deep in online MTTs," Foxen claimed via his Twitter account.

Foxen added: "Ali is known as a cheater to almost all in the high roller community, however without much ironclad proof, most stay silent. After watching this hand on the SHRB live stream, enough is enough."

Who better to offer their insight than two of the better known pros in the game today, Polk and Merson.

Imsirovic has previously been banned by GGPoker with over a million dollars in his account. Polk found it odd that the Bosnian player "did not seem to put up a fight about it".

"Generally I do not want to get too involved in these things," Merson tells Polk.  "But I had heard about this right before he played you, so I just kinda assumed you knew about this or...I wanted to try to reach out to you but try not to get too involved and then a few months later I had heard he won one of the online events through horses account.  So there was another red flag."

Merson went on to point out that Imsirovic is "super sharp" and "really doesn't need to be doing any of this stuff".

He added: "I think most people consider him to be one of the best.  It is kinda sad that this (is) putting a black eye on the community."

Imsirovic had not yet addressed the allegations.
