Mike "The Mouth" Matusow to Run Poker House of Dallas as City Looks to Revoke Licenses

The Dallas area poker scene has just gotten that much more exciting with news that the one and only Mike "The Mouth" Matusow is set to begin running Poker House of Dallas.

The news comes at a time when Dallas city officials have threatened to pull permits for no known reason after just issuing them months prior.

Matusow's entry into the market could serve to stymie those efforts.

Matusow and the various poker venues around Dallas have a friend in City Council member Omar Narvaez, who represents that area of Dallas and says he supports these establishments, calling the new change of city policy “unfair.”  Our own Thomas Somach has attempted to reach out to Councilperson Narvaez but he has yet to respond to our request for an interview.

Matusow plans to relocate to Dallas where he will run the venue with friends.

The Dallas area poker scene has gained worldwide attention through live streaming events.

Texas state law allows such businesses to operate by charging a set price per hour to play.  The venues do not take a rake in return.
