Free Picks, Predictions for the Colts vs. Patriots Game December 18

Gambling911.com takes a look at the Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots game with a few useful betting tidbits and predictions.

The line on this game was coming in at Colts -2.5, a bit of a surprise considering New England is currently on a seven game win streak, covering the spread in all of them.  Then again, it's not as if Indianapolis is playing poorly.  They've won six of their last eight games overall.  Indy has also rebounded from a 1-4 start to climb into the No. 6 slot in the AFC playoff chase.  We should also note that Colts running back Jonathan Taylor leads the NFL in rushing.

Gambling911.com had the line opening at Patriots -2.5 and that's what most of the books had as well prior to the five-point line shift.  65% of the action was on New England heading into Saturday morning.

The Patriots have downgraded running back Damien Harris and offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste to out.  Tight end Dalton Keene is also ruled out for this game.

Seven other members of New England’s active roster remain questionable to face Indianapolis, including running back Brandon Bolden, offensive linemen Trent Brown and David Andrews, defensive tackle Christian Barmore, linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley, safety Adrian Phillips and kicker Nick Folk.

Running back J.J. Taylor and offensive lineman Yasir Durant sit on the Covid-19 reserve list.

A few interesting trends: Patriots are 22-4 Against The Spread in their last 26 games after accumulating less than 250 total yards in their previous game.  The Colts are 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

As Home Favorite, Indianapolis is 14-5-0 Straight Up.

These teams have played one another eight times since 2010 with the Pats winning all of those games.

The Colts have been crushing teams at home.  Even some of the early home losses were close, so don't be fooled by the 3-4 home record.

While we don't have a play on this game, our friends at BetOnline do below.
