Alabama Hands Georgia Their First Defeat of Season, Win SEC

Sophomore quarterback Bryce Young threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another Saturday night to lead Alabama to a 41-24 beatdown of No. 1 Georgia in the SEC championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.  This was the Bulldogs first defeat of the season.

But They Could Not Get The Job Done Where It Counted

Alabama ended up losing to Georgia, 33-18, in the College Football Championship game 2022.

Nick Saban’s Tide had won seven straight against the Bulldogs.

The Tide were installed as the early slight favorites to win the 2023 College Football Playoff Championship at 2-1 odds.

Hoops Too

The Auburn Tigers in particular enjoyed a successful college basketball season once again in 2022.

The Tigers entered the NCAA Men's Tournament as a number-two seed but fell to Miami 79-61, failing to make it into the Sweet 16.
