The Pirates-Cardinals game stands a 60% chance of being delayed or even postponed per Gambling911.com's forecast. Steadier rain was anticipated from 3 pm to 7 pm and quite possibly beyond, however, this has been pushed back a bit as of 11:15 am ET Sunday morning with the steadier rains expected to hold off until 6 pm. Max Kranick is slated to make his MLB debut Sunday for the Pirates. The 23-year-old was added to the 40-man roster over the winter and holds a 4.37 ERA and 36/9 K/BB ratio over 35 innings between Double- and Triple-A this season.
Johan Oviedo is 0-3 with a 4.62 ERA for St. Louis. Johan Oviedo was charged with six runs -- three earned -- over just 3 2/3 frames in Tuesday's loss to the Tigers but, prior to that, he enjoyed seven scoreless innings ultimately ending up with a no-decision.
