Pirates-Cardinals Game Postponed, Suspended Odds

The Pirates-Cardinals game stands a 60% chance of being delayed or even postponed per Gambling911.com's forecast.  Steadier rain was anticipated from 3 pm to 7 pm and quite possibly beyond, however, this has been pushed back a bit as of 11:15 am ET Sunday morning with the steadier rains expected to hold off until 6 pm.  The odds were still good this one could end early so please continue to monitor.  The Cardinals line was set at -148 at BetOnline.

Game Preview Sunday June 27, 2021

St. Louis is 10-2 in this series over the last 12 meetings.

Max Kranick is slated to make his MLB debut Sunday for the Pirates.  The 23-year-old was added to the 40-man roster over the winter and holds a 4.37 ERA and 36/9 K/BB ratio over 35 innings between Double- and Triple-A this season.

Johan Oviedo is 0-3 with a 4.62 ERA for St. Louis.  Johan Oviedo was charged with six runs -- three earned -- over just 3 2/3 frames in Tuesday's loss to the Tigers but, prior to that, he enjoyed seven scoreless innings ultimately ending up with a no-decision.

We will be on St. Louis at -148 here

MLB Rules (Postponement)

The 4.5 Inning Rule - The result of a game is official after 5 innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4.5 innings.

Totals - Runline and Total wagers are official after 9 innings of play, or 8.5 innings if the home team is leading. If a game is canceled before 9 innings have been completed, all wagers on the run line and total will be graded “No Action” and funds will be returned to the account holder.

Postponement - A bet is declared void on a cancelled or postponed game which has not started, or in the case of a result not having been issued within 12 hours of the scheduled start time.
