Francis Ngannou mightily impressed the UFC world last night, and he's got the attention of the oddsmakers as well with his odds of beating Jon Jones (pays $16 for every $10 bet) at -180.
SportsBetting.ag set odds for the potential heavyweight bout between Ngannou and Jon Jones that is yet to be announced, and the current champ is a sizable favorite.
The odds opened Sunday morning at Ngannou -200, Jones +170.
When the sportsbook first released odds for this match last August, Jones was a +125 underdog while Ngannou was listed at -145.
Ngannou defeated the champ Stipe Miocic.
"I don't have the vocabulary to express this, because it feels so amazing," said Ngannou immediately following the fight. "Even though I had been winning fights, I had this thing inside of me that I never released -- a promise that I made to myself when I was young, to one day prove to the doubters and people who thought I was beneath them that ... if one day I ever had the opportunity, I would do something great."
Ngannou vs. Jones would be considered a mega fight for the UFC and potentially one of the most wagered on events ever once this comes to fruition.
Jones tweeted "Show me the money", an indication that he is looking for a big pay day.
