Barrett and Lagoa Hefty Favorites for Justice Nominee

President Trump has said that he will nominate a woman to replace Ruth Bader Ginsberg as Supreme Court Justice, but that hasn’t stopped Vegas from assigning odds for a few men because in this day and age, nothing is a lock.

According to online bookmaker SportsBetting.ag, Amy Coney Barrett is the odds-on favorite with 2-5 odds, meaning a bettor would have to risk $25 just to win $10 if she was nominated.

Barbara Lagoa is a close second with 5-4 (or +125), which means a bettor would wager $10 and would win $12.50 if she was the nominee.

Ted Cruz (75-1) and Tom Cotton (100-1) are laughable longshots on the list of nine candidates.

There are also two prop bets on when the Senate will vote to confirm the new SCJ. The odds suggest it won’t happen before Election Day or Inauguration Day.
