With Many Games Cancelled Thursday, Russian Ping Pong Sees Biggest Day in Some Time

Russian table tennis took center stage during the height of the worldwide pandemic as one of the few sports that was not shut down.  And now it is back with a vengeance courtesy of multiple leagues suspending games Thursday.

Dave Mason of BetOnline revealed that Russian Ping Pong, as it is often referred to as, was one of the most wagered on sports of the day.

The Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott their Playoffs game Wednesday against the Orlando Magic just minutes before tipoff and the dominoes fell thereafter.

Milwaukee is about 40 miles north of Kenosha, Wisconsin, the city where 29-year-old Jacob Blake, a Black man, was shot seven times by police on Sunday.

By Thursday, all NHL playoff games, as well as MLS and WNBA games had been cancelled.  Some Major League Baseball games were also being postponed.
