All NBA, NHL playoffs games have been postponed Thursday in the wake of a police involved shooting in Wisconsin Sunday.

The Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott their Playoffs game Wednesday against the Orlando Magic just minutes before tipoff. This resulted in the other two scheduled NBA Playoffs games Wednesday night being cancelled. Some MLB and WNBA teams also opted to boycott their Wednesday games.
Milwaukee is about 40 miles north of Kenosha, Wisconsin, the city where 29-year-old Jacob Blake, a Black man, was shot seven times by police on Sunday. Blake was shot as he attempted to enter the driver's side door of his vehicle with three of his children inside. Video of the shooting was distributed on social media.
On Thursday, the NHL postponed all of its playoffs games while WNBA and Major League Soccer games were all postponed as well.
Elsewhere, the Phillies-Nats and Athletics-Rangers games have been postponed in Major League Baseball with other games expected to follow.
NBA players reportedly are looking to resume their playoffs games at a yet-to-be-determined date.
Charlotte Hornets owner and NBA great Michael Jordan is said to be working closely as a liason between players and owners. Jordan is the only majority Black owner in the league.
"Right now, listening is better than talking," Jordan reportedly told players.
"Michael is the perfect person to be in this role," said a league official who has been privy to discussions on what should happen next. "He's been a high-profile player who has won championships. He's also the owner of a small-market team. He has great credibility both with the players and the owners."
Earlier in the day, members of the Hockey Diversity Alliance asked the NHL to postpone the games in response to Blake being shot by police in Wisconsin.
San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane announced the request on his Twitter account.
“We strongly feel this sends a clear message that human rights take priority over sports,” Kane wrote on behalf of the alliance, which is made up of current and former players.
