TNT Says NBA Return Doubled Pre-COVID Ratings

Dave Mason of BetOnline reported that the Clippers-Lakers Thursday night game would become the most wagered on of the NBA season.  Indeed, TNT confirmed that the audience was substantial of the league's return following a shutdown caused by Covid-19.

TNT says the two games averaged 2.9 million total viewers, or twice what a regular season game averaged.

Both the Utah-New Orleans and Lakers-Clippers games went down to the wire.  Each was decided by a bucket.

The games are being played in a "bubble" on an Orlando campus.
