Just How Good Was UFC 249 for the Books, English Premier League Returns June 1

Gambling911.com received confirmation from BetOnline that UFC 249 was the most wagered on card in that company's 21 year history.  Great news!

Better news is that this was in no way an outlier.

DraftKings‘ Stephen Miraglia told The Action Network, “UFC 249 is officially the most-bet MMA event in DraftKings Sportsbook history — and the main card hasn’t even started yet.” 

And this was several hours before the fight even got underway.

UFC 249 was widely considered the first major sports event to return since Covid-19 essentially shut down sports worldwide for the past two months.

Two more events are slated for this week with plenty of betting to be had.

The government have published a 50-page document for lifting the coronavirus-enforced lockdown in England which could see the Premier League restart on June 1. 

Step two of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's "roadmap" clears the way for current football season get back underway next month, with all remaining fixtures set to be played behind closed doors until public safety can be guaranteed.
