Baseball is back!  At least in the virtual world.  And the good news is that you will soon be able to bet on it.

BetOnline, which confirms its NFL simulation matchups have been attracting a decent number of gamblers, plans to release lines on the joint effort between the MLB Players Association and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Major League Baseball is launching the first competitive MLB The Show league featuring players from all 30 teams competing in a 29-game regular season, the league announced Friday.

Sportsbooks have had to rely heavily on virtual sports and eSports competitions during the COVID-19 pandemic as nearly all sporting events are either cancelled or postponed.

The first game of virtual Baseball will take place Friday at 9 p.m. ET (April 10), when Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Blake Snell and Cincinnati Reds reliever Amir Garrett face off on Snell's Twitch channel. There is also talk that some of the games will potentially be televised, which will most certainly provide a major boost to bookmakers.

Sample MLB simulations for Friday April 10 can be found below.  On one's laptop betting is found with a left-hand link for SPORTS SIMS.

North American sportsbooks anticipate a much needed surge in betting with the upcoming NFL Draft.  In addition to eSports, books have promoted a handful of horse races and Belarussian Soccer.  They have also focused heavily on their live dealer casino platforms.
