Odds Say Tokyo Olympics Will be Cancelled

With the Coronvirus spreading like wildfire, primarily through Asia, a handful of sportsbooks have begun offering odds on whether the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will be cancelled.

YES is now favored at -130.

NO was coming in at -110.

From SportsBettingDime:

On Tuesday, Dick Pound, a member of the IOC, told the Associated Press that decisions about the games will need to be made soon. “A lot of things have to start happening. You’ve got to start ramping up your security, your food, the Olympic Village, the hotels. The media folks will be in there building their studios,” Pound said.

It should be noted that the Tokyo Olympics will not take place until July 24.

Some books have resisted offering odds due to the deaths associated with the Coronavirus.
