Free NFL Picks for Week 7

Sports Interaction betting analyst Carson Pike makes his Free NFL picks for Week 7.

After the New Orleans Saints' dismantling of the New York Giants last week, the number of undefeated teams remaining in the NFL was reduced to four. Although the Indianapolis Colts kept their perfect record in tact since they were on their bye week and did not play. But they are back in action for Week 7 when they travel to St. Louis to battle the Rams.

Sports Interaction has listed the Colts at -14, which at first glance appears to be a big number for a road team to cover. Indianapolis has won their last three games by twenty-one, seventeen, and twenty-two points. Mind you, they were not exactly facing the cream of the NFL crop in any of those games, but they aren't this week either as the Rams have yet to win a game. When you also consider that Peyton Manning has thrown for over 300 yards in every game this season, it tells you one thing: Manning and the Colts are feeling it. Peyton Manning plays his best football in a dome so he will feel right at home in St. Louis. Putting all that together spells one thing for me; the Colts continue to roll. Indianapolis -14 at Sports Interaction is one of my free NFL picks for Week 7.

The New Orleans Saints scored at will against one of the better defenses in the NFL last week. In fact, the Saints score at will against pretty much anybody. As many points as the Saints score, they have allowed the opposition to put up decent numbers in games this year as well. The total score in three of the Saints' five games has been seventy or more. Even the Detroit Lions managed to put up twenty-seven against them! This week, the Saints travel to Miami to play the Dolphins. Miami's wildcat offense, which can leave some teams bewildered, has put up more than thirty points in each of their last two games, incidentally both being in Miami. I think the trend will continue this week and we will see another shootout. Sports Interaction has listed the over/under at 47 points and I think the game will go over that easily. Over 47 points is the bet with Sports Interaction.

Through six weeks, the Minnesota Vikings have yet to lose. Brett Favre has already had some of those ‘Brett Favre' moments; including the 58 yard hook-up late in last week's game to set up what turned out to be the game winning field goal against Baltimore. The Vikings barely won last week at home against a tough Baltimore team. In fact, they were lucky to win that game. They blew a seventeen point, fourth quarter lead and actually only won the game because the Ravens missed a last second field goal that would have given Baltimore the win. This week the Vikings play another tough team in the Steelers only this time it is on the road as they travel to Pittsburgh. The Steelers have reeled off three wins in a row and are a very tough home team. They are 3-0 at Heinz Field this year. The Vikings luck will run out this week. Pittsburgh -4 over Minnesota is the final pick of the week.
