While Tennessee lawmakers approved in-state mobile sports betting only (retail sportsbook venues will not be available), it is unclear when wagering will commence or which companies will obtain licensing.

It goes without saying, the state is missing out after the Titans stunned the Patriots to advance in this year's NFL Playoffs. A Titans Super Bowl appearance will have the powers-that-be in the state kicking themselves.

The Tennessee State Lottery will oversee the process and tells News 5 Nashville there is still a lot of work to do.
