A large game developer is announcing this Wednesday that they've donated over $100k to the American Cancer Society in 2019, raising over $200k since 2016.

And this isn't just a lump-sum donation. Players from within the company's flagship virtual world game donated ~$90k during 2019 by purchasing in-game ACS-branded charms that increased their likelihood of winning.
The donations have gone on to equate to more than 6,500 free rides to treatment for cancer patients and provided 400 breast cancer patients with one-on-one peer support from a breast cancer survivor, and 300 wigs for patients suffering from treatment side effects.
