Tax Matters

That 8.4% tax will be imposed on operators, not the gamblers.  Nonetheless, this low number when compared to the 36% tax in Pennsylvania ensures the industry in Michigan can be competitive.  This means that sports bettors will likely be able to find the best lines on games in addition to a wide variety of wagering options.

When Will Sports Betting Be Coming to Michigan

If passed sports betting could be available as early as this upcoming March Madness tournament. Michigan State and Michigan should both be making appearances in the Tournament.
