New Jersey residents are prohibited from betting on the Bovada website.

While in New Jersey you can also register and place bets on about a dozen mobile apps.

These are the sites that are licensed to operate in New Jersey and one must be aware of the tax implications when using a state regulated gambling site as opposed to an anonymous sportsbook that only obtains your email and tex number:

There remain a few sites internationally licensed that take bets from New Jersey residents, but these are few and far in between.  Some do so by no longer requiring a physical address during the signup process, however, individuals typically must have a cryptocurrency or Bitcoin wallet.

Sites based outside the state allow wagering on in-state schools and those 18 and up compared to the 21 and up state regulated.  That's attractive in a state that is suddenly becoming a true Cinderella story these past two years in the NCAA Tournament.

Princeton Upsets Arizona, Then Missouri

No. 15 seed Princeton becomes the second Cinderella team in two years hailing from the Garden State following their shock win over No. 2 seed Arizona.  Last year it was tiny St. Peter's playing the giant killer and making it all the way into the Sweet 16.

The Tigers are also heading to the Sweet 16 after beating Missouri to advance to the Sweet 16.

Princeton (23-8) becomes the third 15th seed -- and second in the past two years -- to reach the Sweet 16.  They are only the second Ivy League team to make the Sweet 16 since the NCAA Tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985.

Ryan Langborg scored 22 points for Princeton.

Fairleigh Dickinson WHOA

Fairleigh Dickinson was looking to become only the second No. 16 seed to upset a No. 1, in this case Purdue.   Could the smallest team in this year' tournament get the job done?

An incredible game!

FDU led untilt he final seconds. They were up 61-68 with 29.2 seconds left on the clock.

And they win!!!!

FDU failed to advance to the Sweet 16 following a loss to Florida Atlantic.
