Heavy rains were anticipated during the scheduled ALCS Game 4 between the Houston Astros and New York Yankees.  This had many folks holding off on placing their bets for this game.  This game has been postponed as a result.  Most books were off the board and starting pitchers were undecided well ahead of Wednesday with both teams opting to focus on their bullpen as opposed to naming a reliable starter.

Initially it was believed this game would be cancelled as early as Tuesday.

The weather system moving through is expected to bring steady heavy rain from 3 pm to 10 pm Wednesday followed by showers and strong winds just beyond Midnight.  The chance of rain during scheduled game time is 100 percent

Some books - including Pinnacle, Bovada, Heritage and Jazz - had opted to keep this game off the board in anticipation for a postponement.

Houston leads the series 2-1.  The winner will go on to face the Washington Nationals in this year's World Series.

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
