Formula One betting odds for the Japanese Grand Prix this Sunday have Sebastian Vettel as the +250 favorite (a $100 bet would pay $250) to win.  Vettel had just slightly better odds than Lewis Hamilton.

Suzuka welcomed Formula One with open arms this week as the Japanese Grand Prix returned to the circuit after a three-year absence during which track operators Honda opted to withdraw from the series.

Last December, Honda Motor announced it was pulling out from F1 because of the financial crisis, however, the company's Mobilityland Corp unit agreed to host through 2011 even without a racing team.

Sebastian Vettel is making history during his brief time being part of Formula One racing and now he comes into this event the 2.5/1 favorite.

By taking part in Friday practice for the 2006 Turkish Grand Prix, Vettel became the youngest Formula One driver to drive at a Grand Prix meeting, at 19 years and 53 days. He also became the quickest driver to get a fine in F1, being fined $1,000 nine seconds into his career, after speeding in the pitlane. At the 2008 Italian Grand Prix, Vettel became the youngest driver in history to win a Formula One Grand Prix.

The near favorite to win the Japanese Grand Prix at 3/1 odds, Lewis Hamilton, is a British Formula One racing driver from England, currently racing for the McLaren Mercedes team and is the youngest ever Formula One World Champion.
